What is the Creator Linkage?

The Creator Linkage tool is a dashboard which enables brands and agencies to monitor creator’s profile, audience, and their contents published across different social media platforms. It reduces the manual effort of fetching the data, eliminates the possibility of human errors, and offers a scalable way to monitor and track their behavior. This can be useful for many influencer marketing companies, agencies or brands that would like to monitor the overall performance of an influencer or a specific content.

How does it work?

Please click here to register and get access to the Dashboard. Once you login, you should be able to view three tabs and a button named ‘Invite Creators’ on the right top section of the dashboard.

Here's what these tabs and buttons do.

  • Invite Creators(button): You can invite creators via email by entering their name and email or by just uploading a bulk CSV file.

You may download the sample file, add the names and emails, and upload it.

There are checks in place to make sure the correct entries are made in the CSV file. These checks are mentioned below

  • If you don’t enter the name or the email ID, the send invite button will stay disabled. The Email ID should also be entered in the correct format.

  • If you have sent an invite before using the same email ID, you will receive an error - “‘This email already exists; try using another email.’

  • For bulk upload, if you upload a file without entering the names or the email IDs, or have entered an incorrect email format, the file will not be uploaded.

You have an option to view the preview of the email invite. This is a predefined template and you may proceed to edit the message as well.

  • All: This tab details all the invites sent via the ‘Invite Creators’ section. It has the name and email of the invitee, the invitation time(system time), the status of the invitee, and two options - one to copy the invitation link and the other to resend the invite.

    • When the invite is sent out, a new entry is generated in this section with the status ‘Invited.’ As soon as the invitee connects at least one account, the status of this invite switches to an ‘Active’ status. If the account gets ‘Disconnected’ or if the ‘Session expires’ due to a password change or permission being revoked, the status switches to ‘Action Needed’. Currently, there are no filters designed to view specific status invitations.

  • Two buttons, ‘Copy Link’ and ‘Resend Invite,’ can allow you to share links through another communication channel or resend invites respectively.

  • Connected Accounts: This is an account view of all the connected accounts. Here you can view the name, email, the username of the connected account, name of the platform and date of connection(system date).

  • Failed Connections: Specific creators might need some help during the connection process. You may view the overall connection attempts made by the creators with the possible reason for failure.

  • Microsite view: Creators can proceed to click on ‘Connect Your Accounts’ which opens a webpage with a view to connect the account(s). This page has a list of platforms that can initiate the connection flow. We currently support Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Twitch, Tiktok and Youtube. You can click on the overall SDK help guide for more information about our connection flow.

  • Profile View: When you click on any account in the ‘Connected Account’ view to get a more detailed view of the profile, the audience, and content of the connected profile. This data is refreshed and updated every 24 hrs. You can also see the last updated date which is mentioned in this view.

  • Details inside the profile view: We have enabled six platforms for our "Linkage" product, for which we can fetch creator's data. The details are mentioned below.

    • Instagram: The screenshot below is from a sample Instagram account. Here are details regarding the data points.

    • Followers show number of followers of the Instagram account. The value in the screenshot is 41.7K (~41700)

    • Name: Name denotes the name visible on the Instagram account. It is ‘Pubg Clips exe | Pubg new’ in the screenshot.

    • Username: The username is the name of the handle on the Instagram account. Its value is ‘pubg.clips.exe’

    • Posts: It tells you the total number of posts published by the user till date, since inception. Its value is 2.31K (~2310).

    • Email ID: email id of the user, currently unavailable in the screenshot

    • Top Countries (Audience): Tells you about the overall country-wide demographic details of this account's audience. We show the top 3 countries in the UI, and the rest of the countries are clubbed together in ‘Others’. Here, India is the top country mentioned, with 44.6% of the total audience belonging to this.

    • Top Cities: Gives details about this account's overall city-wide audience demographic details. We show the top 3 cities in the UI, and the other cities are clubbed together in ‘Others’. Here in the screenshot, Tehran is the top country mentioned, with 12.1% of the total audience belonging to this city.

    • Age Distribution: Age distribution tells you about the overall age-wise distribution of its audience. As you can see, the 18-24 age bracket has the most representation overall, with a 50% share.

    • Gender Distribution: Gender Distribution tells you about the overall gender distribution of its audience. As you can see, there are males, females, and others mentioned here. Others here denote all those audiences, who have chosen not to share their gender on the platform or consider themselves non-binary.

    • Type (Content): Type filter can help you filtering data on the type of content posted. There are all possible types of content type mentioned (Video,Image, Feed, IGTV, Reels, Album, Story)

    • Date Filter: You can filter the content based on the date of content posted or created on the platform.

    • There are different content items visible, sorted in order of published date. This means that the latest published content is visible first. The publish date is also mentioned on each content item (in the top-left of each thumbnail). Also, clicking on the thumbnail can take you the actual content in the new tab. Note that an Instagram story may not work after 24 hours of posting since they expire after 24 hours.

    • Likes: Shows you the number of likes on the content item as of last refreshed date. The last refreshed date is mentioned on the right-top section of each profile view. The above screenshot, has it mentioned as 23 May 2023.

    • Comments: It shows the number of comments posted as of the last refreshed date.

    • Impression: Impressions refer to the number of times a post is displayed or shown to users. It represents the total count of how many times a post has appeared on users' screens, regardless of whether they interacted with it.

    • Reach: Reach represents the unique number of individuals who have seen a post at least once. It measures the total audience or the distinct number of people who have been exposed to the post. Reach does not consider the number of times an individual may have seen the post, only that they have been exposed to it at least once.

    • Views: On Instagram, a "view" refers to the number of times users have seen a video post or an Instagram Story. It represents how often people have viewed the content by scrolling through their feeds, exploring posts, or watching Stories. Instagram does not provide a specific "view" count for regular photo posts. Instead, it displays the number of likes, comments, and shares that a photo receives. However, for videos and Instagram Stories, the platform tracks the number of views as a metric to measure engagement and popularity.

  • For other platforms: Most data points mentioned in the above section will be common. Few exceptions - for Youtube, we will have the Number of Video, Number of Playlists, and Number of total watch times as parameters. Total watch time is a crucial metric on YouTube that measures the total time viewers have spent watching a channel, or all the videos on the platform. It is a significant factor in YouTube's algorithm and plays a key role in determining video rankings, recommendations, and overall channel performance.

  • For TikTok, we have the number of shares as an option visible on the content.

  • For Twitter, we have the number of tweets as a parameter visible on the profile section.
